Privacy

Short version: Kobbling collects nothing about you. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone and your Apple Watch.

What the app stores, and where

Your days, how they went and how you felt, your reasons, your island's name, your plans for hard days, your notes and roughly what you used to spend per week are stored only on your device, in the app's own protected space. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

• Apple Watch. If you use the watch app, the watch keeps its own copy of the same data, passed directly from the phone over Apple's own device-to-device connection. No server, no cloud.
• Someone to call. If you choose a contact to call when things are hard, their first name and number are stored only inside the app on your phone. The app gets no access to your other contacts, and the person is not included in the export file.
• The export file. You can export your island at any time to a file you own and keep. We never receive that file.
• Backups. If you have iCloud Backup turned on in iOS, the app's data is included in your own backup, like any other app. That is handled by Apple and controlled by you.
• Health. If you turn it on yourself, the app saves your breathing minutes as Mindful Minutes in Apple Health. The app never reads anything from Health.

Real weather and your location

Real weather is an option in Plus and is off by default. If you turn on real weather, the app asks for your approximate location while it is open and sends it to Apple's WeatherKit only to get the current weather; we never receive or store your location. Only the kind of weather is saved on your phone. The request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. If you say no, or turn it off under You → The island, the island follows the season instead. Nothing else in the app uses your location.

What we don't do

• No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party tools in the app.
• Nothing you enter leaves the device. We have no server that receives anything.
• Notifications are created locally on the phone and never mention what you're taking a break from.
• We don't sell, share or process personal data, because we don't have any.

Purchases

The help in Kobbling is free. Plus is bought through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple, and we never see card details or who bought what. Redeeming a code is handled by Apple too.

Deleting

There is no account to delete. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device. If you want to start over without deleting the app, use Start over from the beginning under You.

Your rights

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing with us to request, correct or delete. Questions about this document: contact@thehappylegend.com.

Changes

If we change anything here, we update the date below and, if it concerns what the app stores, we tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
